How we collect, use and protect your personal information.

Who we are

Grid Force Hire Pty Ltd (ABN 52 701 103 577), of Suite 675, 585 Little Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000, is an electrical labour-hire company operating in Victoria, Australia. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What we collect

Electricians: name, contact details, date of birth, residential address, driver's licence details (including front and back images used as photo ID), electrical licence details, qualifications and tickets, right-to-work status, security clearance details, availability, preferred rate, and uploaded documents (licence, CV, certificates). Some of this is sensitive information, which we collect with your consent at sign-up for the purpose of verifying you and placing you in work.
Contractors (hosts): company and contact details, your electrical-contractor (REC) registration, and the particulars of the crew requests you submit.
Website visitors: basic technical data needed to operate the site securely.

How we use it

To verify electricians and match them to suitable work.
To fulfil contractor crew requests and coordinate assignments.
To prepare a clearance summary for the host before a placement (see below).
To meet our legal, compliance, tax and record-keeping obligations.
To communicate with you about your account and enquiries.

Who we share it with

Access inside our platform is restricted by role. Electricians can only see their own records. Contractors can see the workers assigned to them, but never other contractors' data or electrician pay information. Rate and margin information is restricted to Grid Force Hire administrators.

Hosts. To place an electrician, we give the host a clearance summary — identity, licence, tickets and clearances confirmed for that site — not the worker's full file.

Service providers and regulators. We share information with the providers that run our systems (hosting, storage, payroll, email) and the bodies we must report to (the ATO, WorkCover, your super fund and LeavePlus). We never sell your personal information.

Storage & security

Personal data and documents are held in secured, access-controlled systems; uploaded documents are kept in private storage that is not publicly accessible. Our database and document storage are hosted in Australia. Some of the service providers we use to deliver messages (such as email and SMS) may process limited contact details overseas. We retain records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet our legal obligations (including labour-hire, tax and employment record-keeping), then securely dispose of them.

Your rights

You can request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. Contact us at privacy@gridforcehire.com.au. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
