Mission-critical

Data-centre electricians, hired by the day

Hyperscale and colocation sites run to a program that doesn't move. We supply A-Grade electricians who have worked inside live data halls — people who know what a permit board is for, and why you don't open the wrong cabinet.

Short answer

Grid Force Hire supplies licensed A-Grade electricians to data-centre and mission-critical projects across Melbourne and Victoria, on a casual hourly basis with a 24-48 hour target fill. Crews cover base build, white-space fit-out, containment, busway, UPS and generator support, and commissioning, with tickets and site inductions verified before deployment.

The work

What hosts ask us for on data centre sites

Base build and white space

Containment and cable tray runs, mains and submains, busway installation, rack power distribution and final connections through the halls.

Backup power support

Second pairs of hands around UPS installs, battery rooms, generator sets and switching — working to the client's electrical engineer and permit system.

Commissioning and IST

Extra crew through test and commissioning windows, including night and weekend shifts when load banks are on and the program can't slip.

Ongoing maintenance

Planned maintenance and minor works on live sites where escort, permit and change-control rules apply to every task.

Matched to your site

Tickets and clearances this work usually needs

This is what we're typically asked for on this kind of site — it isn't a fixed list. What your site needs is whatever you tell us on the request, and that's what we match to. Held is not the same as current, so we check the dates too.

  • Victorian A-Grade Electrician's Licence (Energy Safe Victoria)
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Low Voltage Rescue and CPR — currency checked, not just held
  • Working at heights
  • Elevated Work Platform (scissor and boom)
  • Site-specific inductions and, where required, police check or security clearance

What's different about crewing this sector

Mission-critical sites fail people on process, not on skill. The electricians we send to data centres are the ones who read the permit before they pick up the tools, log what they touched, and stop when something doesn't match the drawing.

We verify LV rescue currency specifically for these sites. It's the ticket most often expired on a crew that otherwise looks perfect on paper, and it's the one a data-centre safety officer checks first.

Where a site requires a police check or a security clearance, we record it against the electrician with its expiry, and only match cleared people to that job.

Questions

Data centre hire, answered

Can you supply electricians who have worked in live data halls before?
Yes. Data-centre and mission-critical work is our core focus. When you tell us the site is live, we match electricians with prior data-hall experience and current LV rescue, rather than sending someone whose first day in a hall is your day.
How quickly can you get a data-centre crew on site?
Our target fill window is 24-48 hours for standard requests. Site inductions and any clearance checks are the usual limiting factor, so tell us about them when you request the crew and we'll work to them.
Can you cover night shift and weekend commissioning windows?
Yes. Shift times are set on the job request, and negotiated overtime, Saturday and Sunday rates are agreed in the quote before anyone starts — so there are no surprises on the invoice after a big commissioning weekend.
Do you supply security-cleared electricians?
We record each electrician's police check or security clearance and its expiry, and can filter matching to cleared people where a site requires it. Tell us the clearance level you need in the request.

Need data centre electricians?

Tell us the site, the tickets and the start date. We'll come back with a written quote — rate per electrician, all-inclusive, no lock-in.
