Client Services Agreement

The agreement that governs every supply of electrical labour to a host client. Grid Force signs by issuing your quote; accepting the quote completes the agreement.

1. Parties & how this agreement forms

This agreement is between Grid Force Hire Pty Ltd (ABN 52 701 103 577) (“Grid Force”, “we”, “us”) and the client named in the quote (the “Host”, “you”). Grid Force signs by issuing a quote naming its signatory; the Host signs by accepting that quote — in the portal (typed name and title) or verbally — by phone or in person — confirmed in writing by Grid Force. It applies to every supply of electrical labour under that quote, and the quote prevails over this agreement if they conflict.

2. What we do

Grid Force supplies licensed electricians on a labour-hire basis and operates as a licensed labour-hire provider under the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018 (Vic) (Labour Hire Authority licence VICLHL11668). Each electrician remains a casual employee of Grid Force at all times — the Host has no employment relationship with them.

3. Our obligations

  • Vetting — every electrician holds a current Victorian A-Grade Electrician’s Licence, verified right to work, and the tickets and clearances your site requires, as agreed for the engagement.
  • Employment costs — we pay each electrician’s wages, superannuation, PAYG withholding, WorkCover premium, portable long service leave and payroll on-costs. You pay none of these.
  • Insurance — we maintain public liability insurance and workers’ compensation cover for our electricians.
  • Replacement — we replace an electrician who is unsuitable for the engagement as soon as reasonably practicable after you tell us.

4. Your obligations as Host

  • Site control — provide day-to-day supervision, direction and control of the work, and a safe workplace in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (Vic).
  • REC — hold (or ensure the work is performed under) a current Registered Electrical Contractor registration, and issue Certificates of Electrical Safety. Grid Force supplies labour only and is not the REC for your work.
  • Induction — provide site induction and access requirements before or on the electrician’s first day.
  • Safe Work Method Statements — where the work is high-risk construction work, prepare and hold the SWMS for it before work starts, induct our electricians to it, and tell us if the work or the SWMS changes. You state the SWMS position on the crew request, and it is recorded on the quote and this agreement.
  • Hours — have your site supervisor sign each electrician's hours on the day, on the electrician's phone in the Grid Force portal; signed hours are the basis of invoicing.
  • Incidents — notify us immediately of any incident, injury or near-miss involving our electricians.
  • No direct engagement — do not pay, engage or contract our electricians directly except as set out in clause 8.

5. Rates, quotes & minimum engagement

Charge-out rates are set out in your quote. Rates are all-inclusive (wages, super, WorkCover, insurances, administration and margin), exclusive of GST. Overtime, Saturday, Sunday and shift loadings apply as stated in the quote. Each rostered electrician attracts a minimum engagement of 4 hours per day on a confirmed assignment, or 8 hours per day where the site is covered by an enterprise agreement, as stated in the quote. Rate and margin information is confidential between the parties.

6. Invoicing & payment

We invoice weekly on approved hours. Invoices are payable in full, without set-off, by the due date shown (or as agreed in the quote); GST is added at invoice. If an invoice is overdue we may suspend new placements and pause current assignments until payment is made, and recover reasonable costs of collection. Querying part of an invoice does not suspend payment of the undisputed balance.

7. Cancellation, early finish & standing down

If you cancel or cut short a confirmed assignment with less than 24 hours’ notice, you are charged the minimum engagement for each rostered electrician for that day. Either party may end an ongoing engagement with reasonable notice — there is no lock-in. We may stand down or remove an electrician from an unsafe site or work outside their licence class, and you must not direct work outside an electrician’s licence class.

8. Recruiting our electricians

If you (or a related entity) directly engage an electrician introduced or supplied by Grid Force within 6 months of their last placement with you, a placement fee of 15% of the electrician’s annualised base remuneration (plus GST) applies. This reflects our recruitment, vetting and onboarding investment.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, and Grid Force’s total liability for an engagement is capped at the fees paid for that engagement. Nothing here excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law. The Host remains responsible for the electrical work performed under its direction and its REC registration.

10. Confidentiality & privacy

Each party must keep the other’s commercial information confidential. Worker personal information is shared with you only as a clearance summary needed for site access, handled under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

11. Changes to an engagement

Crew numbers, dates, rates, site and scope change only by a quote we issue and you accept, in the same way the original engagement was agreed. Messages in the portal, emails, texts and conversations on site are useful for questions and day-to-day coordination, but they do not vary this agreement, confirm a booking or commit either of us to extra crew or different rates. Nothing is booked until you have accepted a quote covering it.

12. Term, termination & general

This agreement continues until either party ends it with 14 days’ written notice; accrued rights (including payment for hours worked and clause 8) survive. It is governed by the laws of Victoria, may only be varied as set out in clause 11, and notices may be sent by email — to us at hi@gridforcehire.com.au, to you at the email on your quote.
